God blessed us with a baby boy who almost didn't make it out of the womb. We fought and prayed and on June 21, 2008, he arrived and changed our lives forever - in the most blessed and amazing way. This blog chronicles our journey of near-tragedy, extended bed rest (19 weeks), and the joys and tears along the way and ever since. Baby Olsen is a baby no more. He's our wonderfully loving, and bright little man, Cooper Mitchell Olsen.

Finally vaccinated for H1N1
This morning Cooper finally received his H1N1 flu vaccination. It's a huge relief to know that he has this protection given his history of pneumonia and respiratory problems which put him at risk for having complications if he were to catch this hot mess of a virus. It takes up to 2 weeks to build protection but I feel a big sense of relief that he finally got it. He and I have both received it now and Bob is trying to find it but that may take more time since he's not in a high risk group.
