God blessed us with a baby boy who almost didn't make it out of the womb. We fought and prayed and on June 21, 2008, he arrived and changed our lives forever - in the most blessed and amazing way. This blog chronicles our journey of near-tragedy, extended bed rest (19 weeks), and the joys and tears along the way and ever since. Baby Olsen is a baby no more. He's our wonderfully loving, and bright little man, Cooper Mitchell Olsen.

Cooper...cabana boy :)
Yesterday we spent a relaxing day poolside in Huntington Beach at the Hyatt Regency Resort. A friend of ours was staying there and invited us to come spend the day so we rented a private cabana to allow me (and my casper-white baby boy) to be in the shade and have some privacy along with some TV entertainment between swims. We had a blast. Cooper loves the water (which we knew already) and he is getting braver every time. This time he would sit at the edge of the pool and we'd be standing in the water and say "1, 2, 3!" and he'd jump into our arms into the water, cracking up the whole time.

Adorable!! :)
Oh, Coop - you are such a hamball!
What a character and 1/2 your Cooper is, Julie! What an obvious joy he is! So glad you had a great family day! Sounds like a blast!
Awww! What a gutsy little man! Elijah loves the water too which is strange. The other kids HATED water in their face at this age. Elijah LOVES it! LOL Mama doesn't so much because of the nervous breakdown I have for his lack of fear of it!
great pics. that second one is super adorable, he looks like he's having a blast!
