...since the formula switch, Cooper won't eat more than .5-1.5 oz at a time. He is supposed to be up to 3-4 oz per feeding and we WERE getting 3.5 oz in him up until a week ago when the docs suggested cutting back to 2-2.5 oz every 2 hours (instead of 3.5 oz every 3 hours). WELL, NOW we can barely get him to eat these past 2 days. He starts to eat and then knocks it away (which he had been doing just before the switch but then we could coax him to eat more even though it took a couple hours to get it in him. Now, he takes .5 or 1.0 oz and screams for 15 minutes then falls asleep while I'm holding/rocking him for 10-20 minutes then wakes up SCREAMING and hungry - so every hour we're having this battle and I worry it will cause his weight gain to slow down since he's not getting enough now.
We have just 2 more days with this awful formula before we call Dr.Mike and let him know what's been going on. At that point, unless a huge change happens between now and then, we'll ask him to just let us return to the former formula and have his reflux meds switched from zantac to prevacid. The kid needs to eat more and he's just not having it with this stinky formula and the screaming has increased, not decreased. UGH UGH UGH.

You're in my thoughts and prayers. Even thought I was up last night with a newborn, I cannot imagine watching my child in pain. My advice (unsolicitated of course)...
1. Hire a night nurse twice a week. It will be the best money you ever spent.
2. In a few weeks (hopefully sooner) this will all be a bad memory, try to take it one night at a time.
3. Keep relying on community for support. We are all thinking and praying for you.
