Bob's knee continues to be problematic. He's had it drained a few times in the past 3 weeks and had a couple cortisone injections - both actions provided some immediately relief of the stiffness and pain, but within days the knee swells up and gets stiff and painful again. He's seen his orthopedic surgeon (Dr.B) twice this week - most recently this afternoon when he noticed the knee was ballooning up again. Bob was due to return to work Sunday but today Dr.B has ordered him to to stay put for three weeks. The subject of a possible knee replacement came up - originally Dr.B wanted to hold off on discussing that for another 5+ years if it could be delayed but today he said it may have to happen much sooner. Dr.B said a replacement would involve approximately 3 months of recovery time. So, we'll see how it looks in 3 weeks and we'll go from there.
When it rains, it pours.
