No new tears/breaks or other issues seen in his MRI scans. Doc says that the arthritis (jagged edges of the bone) probably irritated some tissue causing the internal bleeding and swelling. Doc drained some additional blood out and gave Bob a shot of cortisone and sent him home.
Bob is feeling good - totally relieved that no surgery or other treatments will be needed - just needs to be careful to not reinjure it. So, after his vacation is over he can go back to work unrestricted - yay!

WHOOO HOOO!!!! *Doing the happy dance for you!!!* It was just his knee's way of saying he needed to rest and spend some quality time with you on bed rest ;) (not that he doesnt' anyhow) :D enjoy his vacation and your dad being there!!!
oh and thanks for the comment on the picture :) I've been having a rough time with it so it was nice to hear (see/read) that this morning!
