Two weeks ago at Cooper's 2-week check-up we showed the doc a couple of small spots on Cooper's neck (in the fold of his neck) that appeared to be heat rash. Doc said to just put desitin cream on it (which we had already begun to do) and agreed it was probably from heat/perspiration since the fold of his neck very rarely has the opportunity to be exposed to dry out.
Well....the two little spots have become bigger and are definitely sensitive/raw so we brought him to the doctor today to have it looked at. They took a culture of it which will be back Wednesday (they're saying it *could* be a yeast infection but they aren't sure) and in the meantime he got a prescription for an antibiotic ointment that we will apply three times a day for a week.
While at the doc's office, Cooper weighed in at 7 lbs, 5 oz - that's a 9 oz gain in 6 days! He's definitely growing like a weed :).

Hey there,
We used religiously (and still use) Aquaphor by Eucerin for all of Josh's skin "things." We never, ever used the perfumey baby lotions, etc. It is a bit pricey, but nothing is too good for our babes. Oh and Aveeno soaps, etc. are great for bathtime for sensitive babies.
