It's a happy morning because Cooper did GREAT last night! He went down peacefully after his 10:30 pm feeding, slept quietly until 1:30 am when it was time to eat again. He was quiet during his diaper changes, burped great after his feedings and went right back to sleep after each feeding was over. It was like a different baby was in our bedroom LOL.
What did we do differently? Well....we don't know for sure if this is what made the difference, but there's this plush baby blanket that a friend at work sent Cooper recently and Bob noticed that whenever we hold him while wrapped in that blanket, he instantly falls asleep and sleeps peacefully (no flailing of the arms, no grunting, etc.). If you look at yesterday's post with the pictures of Bob and Cooper, this blanket is seen in the third picture. So, Bob suggested that we incorporate this blanket into his bed somehow and that's what we did - we wrapped his sleep positioner in the blanket so that he'd have a soft surface to rest his head on and to caress his bare legs/feet while he's laying down. Everything else (time of night, room temperature, room lighting) was the same as other nights.
Our fingers are crossed that this blanket is the magic we've been searching for. If it isn't, we're still grateful for the one night of peace it has brought us. Fingers (and everything else) crossed that there'll be many more peaceful nights in the future.
Thank you, Natalie, for the miracle green plush baby blanket!! =)

So glad that you and Bob got much needed rest! Cooper must be feeling the warmth and softness of the blanket...much like sleeping on your chest. Yay for soft, plush green baby blankets!
